Mechanical seals are used in water pumps and in the field of electric mobility for the automotive industry. A mechanical seal consists of up to twelve individual parts, some of which are manufactured by KACO or procured from external suppliers. Assembly is based on KACO&#8217;s many years of experience and core competence in the complex assembly of individual components, especially the non-rigid rubber components.<\/p><p>Due to the now high level of automation, errors during assembly are virtually eliminated. &#8220;100 % inspections&#8221; to ensure the assembly process and the perfect functioning of the seals can be carried out safely and cost-effectively using modern camera technology. The functional tests such as leakage test and contact force test have also been automated.<\/p><p>The assembly of the individual parts results in a higher added value compared to the pure production of individual parts. Our customers appreciate this.
