At KACO, the entire value creation process is constantly put to the test. Materials and technologies are continuously optimised and developed with regard to efficiency, functionality, performance and environmental compatibility. For example, the environmentally harmful etching process for PTFE surfaces has been replaced by the specially developed, patented method of plasma activation. This is considered to be particularly sustainable, as no post-treatment is required and there is no need to dispose of used etchant. To protect the environment, we mainly use binders with solvent-free formulations. The binder is applied using a process specially developed by KACO.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

With the low-pressure plasma process specially developed by KACO for activating PTFE and PTFE compounds, we can bond these materials to certain high-performance elastomers without adhesion promoters. The critical so-called chemical etching of PTFE can thus be dispensed with. Plasma activation also enables us to reliably bond PTFE to plastics that are otherwise difficult to activate, e.g. PPS (polyphenylene sulphide).<\/p>

With this patented KACO process, we are making a major contribution to our commitment to the environment and sustainability.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
