KACO is expanding its portfolio in the field of microvalve technology with two new high-precision components: an elastomer holder and a diaphragm for special applications. Both components have been developed for applications that place the highest demands on sealing quality, service life and process reliability.
Elastomer holder made of FKM and stainless steel – highest quality of the sealing surface
The new elastomer holder consists of a combination of FKM elastomer and stainless steel; other materials are available on request.
A partial adhesive coating ensures a secure bond between the materials, while metallic functional surfaces are deliberately left free of adhesive. The adhesive system used does not require a blasting process and enables a particularly gentle and reliable production.
A key quality feature is the extremely high precision of the sealing surface, with a flatness of less than 5 µm. The completely burr-free manufacturing process also contributes to high functional reliability, long service life and consistent component quality.
FFKM membrane for special applications – designed for extreme requirements
As a second new development, KACO presents a rubber membrane made of FFKM, which was specially designed for highly stressed special applications. Alternative materials are also available depending on the requirements. The membrane has been successfully tested with over five million cycles and thus meets the highest requirements for durability and reliability. A burr-free manufacturing process ensures reproducible performance and consistently high quality.
Material expertise from our own development
KACO’s new microvalve components are based on the company’s extensive in-house competence in materials and compounds. Custom-designed elastomer materials are used for the elastomer holder, while high-performance materials for demanding applications are used for the membrane.
By compounding rubber in its own mixing plant, KACO can flexibly meet application-specific requirements while ensuring consistently high material and component quality. The complete process chain, from recipe development to component production, guarantees a high level of process reliability.
