Mechanical seals for internal rotor cooling
Our mechanical seals developed for internal rotor cooling are axially acting systems for high circumferential speeds as well as pressurisation and designed for small installation space. Our solutions for electric drives are robust, durable and effective. This is ensured by proven, specially developed and optimised materials such as silicon carbide, high-performance elastomers and stainless steel.
Shaft grounding rings for electrical drive machines
The shaft grounding ring developed by KACO meets the high requirements of electric motor manufacturers. Companies use it to minimise bearing damage and prevent interference noise by diverting harmful shaft voltages and bearing currents to the electrical ground. This is made possible by a highly conductive PTFE washer with a special coating. The shaft grounding ring can be used not only in the electric motors of the automotive industry, but also in a wide range of electric drives.
Magnetic encoder / encoder wheels
The magnetic signal transmitters for the automotive industry and mechanical engineering for rotating and linear applications help to detect speed, velocity, torque, force, angle or position and use the information to control shafts in engines, transmissions, steering systems, ABS and linear systems.
Quick deflation systems for battery modules in BEVs and hybrids
If an unintentional fault should occur in the traction battery of electric or hybridised vehicles, rapid emergency venting must be ensured to reduce the pressure in the affected battery segment. KACO offers an installation space-optimised product range for this purpose. The KACO Quick Deflation is designed in such a way that an additional pressure equalisation element can be integrated. This means that both regular pressure equalisation and the possibility of emergency venting can be guaranteed in one component.
DAE (pressure compensation element)
In battery systems, BEVS, hybrids and transmissions, products are required that ensure regular pressure compensation and also offer the option of emergency venting. KACO offers several solutions for this. One of them is the DAE (pressure compensation element). This also ensures system functionality for all application requirements and is an efficient solution for customers. The product also prevents oil leakage in an emergency and the water inlet pressure and air flow can be adjusted according to requirements.
STATIC SEALS (Pressed in Place Seal and Steel-Elastomer Seal)
KACO offers a wide range of static seals. From pure moulded rubber parts to various designs bonded to carrier components, we offer the right solution for static sealing tasks. Specific requirements such as ease of assembly or functional integration are met accordingly.

Static sealing systems for mechanical and electrical auxiliary units have also been expanding the product range of the sealing expert for some time. Innovative LEM seals for better EMC protection, for example, contribute to the electrification of drive trains in the field of static seals.
Radial shaft seals for washing machines in the industrial and private sector
KACO offers a new generation of dynamic seals for washing machines in the industrial and private sectors. Both the design and the materials used have been fundamentally further developed and qualified in extensive component and system tests. A novel combination of radial and axial protection lips offers optimum protection against dirt and excellent protection of the adjacent bearings. The design of the sealing lip has been further improved for application with washing lye. This enables first-class sealing with the lowest friction. The solutions can be individually adapted to the customer’s requirements, such as adapted installation as a rotary shaft seal or integration in a plastic or metal flange as well as in a sensor system.
Battery Parts
Battery parts have been added to KACO’s product portfolio. One of KACO’s core competencies is the ability to reliably assemble a large number of different components in large quantities to form an assembly. In addition to the well-known Battery Quick Deflations, which are used within the Battery Pack, new individual components for the battery cell level, such as prismatic and cylindrical cells, have been realized.
