Competence without compromise
To ensure that our rubber compounds meet the highest quality standards, we rely on state-of-the-art internal mixers to produce our compounds, as well as a high degree of automation. Since the entire process from development to production runs through the sealing expert, there is a very high degree of transparency and traceability.
Plastic injection moulding
KACO has been producing components from high-performance plastics in Europe and China for over 20 years. Various inserts for screw connections as well as plasma-activated PTFE discs as a dynamic seal are overmoulded in the exact position. We can also manufacture the PTFE washers ourselves.
Assembly is based on KACO’s many years of experience and core competence in the complex assembly of individual components, especially the non-rigid rubber components.
The assembly of individual parts results in a higher added value compared to the pure production of individual parts. Our customers appreciate this. Because they receive ready-to-install components and can thus concentrate on their own core competencies.
Phosphating / Surface technology
Our expertise in surface engineering gives us access to numerous technologies for changing the properties of surfaces. This helps us to design our versatile product portfolio and contributes to our high quality promise.
With the low-pressure plasma process specially developed by KACO for activating PTFE and PTFE compounds, we can bond these materials to certain high-performance elastomers without adhesion promoters. Plasma activation also enables us to reliably bond PTFE to plastics that are otherwise difficult to activate, e.g. PPS (polyphenylene sulphide).
This patented KACO process is a major contribution to our commitment to the environment and sustainability.
In-house production offers many advantages for KACO and our customers. On the one hand, we are largely independent of the delivery performance of other manufacturers. For the development of solutions in new business areas, such as e-mobility (e.g. battery venting), we are always at the source of our own experience.
Our particular strength lies in the production of rotationally symmetrical parts. These tools are manufactured in our own stamping shop on modern mechanical presses. To ensure optimal process monitoring, the area is equipped with all the necessary measuring and testing equipment.
Due to its long tradition and leading technologies, KACO has a great core competence in rubber-metal components, dynamic seals, pure rubber moulded parts (AXIA, grooved rings) as well as static seals.
