Pressure Balance Plugs and Venting Caps
KACO pressure balance plugs ensure controlled pressure equalization in housings. They compensate for pressure differences that can arise due to temperature changes, altitude variations, or operating conditions. At the same time, they protect the housings from external influences such as water, dust, and dirt.
KACO’s venting caps offer a compact and reliable solution to ensure continuous pressure equalization within the housing and to permanently relieve stress on the transmission.
Thanks to a variety of material and design concepts, the Pressure Balance Plugs can be individually adapted to the requirements of each application—compact, reliable, and suitable for long-term use in electrified vehicles and other battery systems.
Emergency vents
KACO’s emergency venting systems ensure that, in the event of a battery malfunction, the required volume of air can escape quickly. The flow-optimized vent valves from this sealing expert offer an excellent balance between overall height and maximum possible flow rate. Our emergency venting systems are available as reversible and irreversible solutions. All designs can be equipped with additional ventilation and venting elements, ensuring not only protection against malfunctions but also regular pressure equalization within the battery due to pressure and temperature fluctuations.
