Competence in surfaces
By working closely with our partners, KACO offers a cleanly functioning phosphating process so that a well-formed phosphate layer spreads on the metal part.
This offers the development of processes for outstanding properties:
- Lowest friction / Optimum hysteresis
Optimised adhesion → Bonding layer for binders - Corrosion protection
- With all usable alloys
Binder for rubber-metal bond
Our expertise in surface engineering gives us access to numerous technologies for changing the properties of surfaces. This helps us to design our versatile product portfolio and contributes to our high quality promise.
For the majority of KACO sealing systems, the high-performance elastomers must be firmly bonded to carrier materials. This is usually done during the manufacturing process by vulcanisation. The necessary surface technology on the carrier materials and the required bonding systems are also developed or selected at KACO. Carrier materials are steel, stainless steel, aluminium, Galfan surfaces and brass. Material combinations with plastics (PA, PPA, PPS, etc.) are also possible.
