Sustainability is no longer just a trend, but a central responsibility for companies across all industries. In a world facing the challenges of climate change, resource scarcity and social inequality, sustainable action is becoming an obligation – for society, the environment and for the sustainability of your own company.
To increase the efficiency of the production facilities, KACO has overhauled and redesigned the production system. Called KPS (KACO Production System), it has been rolled out to all sites worldwide. It serves to establish a uniform and standardized approach across all plants. This includes the standardization of processes, machines and equipment in order to maximize production efficiency and reduce costs. It has also enabled the establishment of an overall exchange of experience in order to further develop the production plants together.
Advantages
The advantages of KPS are manifold. The standardization of processes not only contributes to a more efficient use of resources, but also enables the company-wide implementation of proven strategies.
Responsibility
In each plant, the responsibility for the implementation and further development of the KPS lies with specialized KPS employees. Employees in the technical area are mainly involved, such as production managers, production technicians, industrial engineers and quality employees. In addition, colleagues in supply chain management are also involved.
Coordination
Coordination between the individual plants and the headquarter takes place through regular meetings in which the KPS employees report on their progress and actions. This information is collected centrally and passed on to the relevant colleagues.
Success
The success of the KPS is measured by specific metrics that measure both the savings realized and the rollout of the system at the various sites. This allows the progress of each site to be tracked at any time.
